Energy Trust of Oregon values the role trade allies play in helping Oregonians make their houses more comfortable and less expensive to heat and cool.
The Home Energy Solutions Trade Ally Network comprises heating and cooling contractors, insulation specialists and window installers.
Benefits to you when you become a trade ally
Energy Trust offers trade ally network participants:
- Valuable cash incentives for you or your customers for completion of energy efficiency projects such as new high-efficiency heat pumps, gas furnaces, home insulation and high-tech windows;
- Financial assistance and discounts for training and equipment purchases;
- Technical assistance including access to efficiency and renewable energy experts;
- On-site training of the residential programs and guidance in completing all incentive applications;
- Training designed to fit the needs of individual contractors. Specialized technical training ranges from duct efficiency testing to techniques that increase sales of high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment;
- Cooperative advertising funds for qualified and approved advertising;
- Publicity through the Energy Trust website, program case studies and news releases;
- Promotional materials including program brochures for each measure, contractor yard signs and door hangers;
- Ongoing communication of program offers, new program processes and unique techniques to improve sales and installation of energy efficiency equipments;
- Exclusive incentive features, which include financing and multi-measure bonuses; and
- Awards and recognition for major contributions to improving energy efficiency.
What trade ally membership involves
Contractors who become trade allies are encouraged to:
- Promote the Home Energy Solutions program to their customers and support the sales and installation of appropriate energy efficiency equipment;
- Participate in continuing training to enhance their ability to recommend energy efficient equipment and operations to their customers;
- Maintain current trade ally membership documents including insurance documents and certifications;
- Install appropriate equipment and weatherization
measures to meet the energy efficiency
needs of their customers; and
- Provide accurate and timely submission of all participant incentive paperwork within program guidelines.
