Comfort Now Bonus Incentive

Multifamily property owners can earn a 20 percent bonus incentive from Energy Trust of Oregon when they complete installation of both windows and insulation by June 30, 2012. If you act now, you can lower your energy costs, improve the comfort of your units and earn an extra cash incentive on top of Energy Trust’s standard incentives.

Comfort Now Bonus Incentive Bundling Requirements

The project must consist of bundled weatherization measures to be eligible for the 20 percent Comfort Now Bonus Incentive. The project must include:

  • Windows—The existing windows are single or double glazing and must be replaced with a U-Value of 0.30 or lower. A walkthrough survey is required before starting a windows project.*

And at least one of the following:

  • Attic Insulation—If the attic is currently insulated R-18 or less, then the attic must be insulated to R-38.
  • Floor Insulation—If the floor is currently insulated R-11 or less, then the floor must be insulated to R-30 or fill cavity.

* To schedule a walkthrough survey, contact a program representative at 1.866.368.7878.

For projects seeking the Comfort Now Bonus Incentive where an additional measure cannot be installed, the stand alone measure would qualify for the Comfort Now Bonus Incentive.

If the attic and/or floor insulation do not meet the minimum program requirements, the Participant must install insulation to the program specifications in order to be eligible for the Comfort Now Bonus Incentive.

Comfort Now Bonus Incentive cannot be combined with State Tax Credits.
