Multifamily Properties

Multiply the savings with energy-efficient upgrades

Multifamily

Energy-efficiency improvements to your multifamily or condominium property can pay out in more ways than one. Simple upgrades can increase your property’s value and curb appeal, while also reducing energy costs.  Plus, by creating an energy-efficient environment, you can enjoy reduced maintenance costs and greater tenant satisfaction.  Energy Trust offers cash incentives for upgrades to windows, appliances, water heaters, building envelope, heating and cooling, energy efficient lighting and more. We also can provide incentives for solar water heating and pool heating.

Interested in saving energy but don’t know where to begin? Contact us for a no-cost building assessment that can help you identify the most cost-effective upgrades for your property.

We’ll also come out and install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), faucet aerators and high-performance showerheads in each apartment unit and there’s no charge for the products or the labor—these no cost upgrades can help your tenants save money and energy. Learn more.

The following forms and incentives apply to projects permitted under the 2010 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code. If your project was approved under 2007 code, please contact us at newbuildings@energytrust.org or 1.877.467.0930.

Project Enrollment Application

Energy Trust encourages owners to enroll projects as early as possible—preferably prior to or during early design—by completing the Project Enrollment Application form. This form requests general facts about your building, including type, size, location and contact information for the project team. It also outlines the terms and conditions of participation. This form must be completed, signed and submitted prior to applying for incentives.

Energy Trust offers incentives to offset the costs of professional services required to meet your project energy goals.

Installation Incentives

Installation incentives help finance the costs of energy-efficient equipment and systems that help your building exceed 2010 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code.

Post-Occupancy Incentives

Once your building is constructed and occupied, Energy Trust can help cover the costs of earning the ENERGY STAR from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
