Learn more about the processes for pursuing standard and custom incentives:
Standard incentive path
Projects that feature non-custom equipment with easy installation can earn standard incentives. Qualifying projects can claim up to $500,000 per site, per year. It’s easy to qualify for standard incentives and your trade ally contractor may be able to complete the forms for you.
- Find a Trade Ally contractor.
- Install your new equipment.
- Submit Form 120G (PDF | Excel): Incentive Application along with the contractor invoice(s), utility bill and IRS form W-9 to the address listed on the form.
*Note: A post-installation inspection may apply if your incentive is over $5,000.
Custom incentive path
Projects that go beyond the standard incentive list may qualify for custom incentives. Projects eligible for custom incentives typically require an engineering study or other technical assistance in the project design process. All equipment purchases must receive pre-approval from the program to qualify for custom incentives. A program representative will work with you through each step of the process.
- Complete and submit Form 100E (Online | PDF | Excel): Energy Assessment Request—you may qualify for one of three energy assessments:
- Do-it-yourself audit
- Walkthrough survey
- Site evaluation
- Proceed with site evaluation, if authorized.
- Review site evaluation with your energy advisor and select equipment you wish to install.
- Receive and return Form 105T–Technical Analysis Study Agreement, if applicable.
- Technical advisor completes energy study for custom measure(s).
- Review Form 110C–Project Detail and Incentive Estimate with your energy advisor.
- Obtain contractor bids for your project and submit chosen bid.
- Accept and sign Form 120C–Incentive Application.
