Lumber mills, paper mills, timber companies and other wood processors require significant energy to fuel daily operations. Energy Trust can help offset your energy costs in two ways:
Energy-efficiency projects—We pay cash incentives for making energy-efficiency upgrades to building components, systems and equipment. We also offer custom incentives for energy-efficiency equipment and projects that save energy using equipment not eligible for our standard incentives.
Energy generation—Forest residue and mill residue can be used to generate electricity for use on site or for sale to local utilities. Our resources and cash incentives can help you install biomass electricity generation systems, as well as explore solar electric and solar water heating solutions.
Leaf through your cash incentive options. Select a category below to find out how much cash you can receive for specific project types and how to participate:
Incentives of $0.25 per annual kilowatt hour and $2.00 per annual therm saved, up to 50% of the project cost are available for Oregon industries. Incentives are available for projects completing in 2012.
