Bonus Cash Incentives for Oregon Businesses

Available for lighting and custom capital upgrade projects that order equipment within 90 days-available until June 29, 2012

Energy Trust of Oregon is helping commercial and industrial customers start with a year of energy savings by providing Kick-Start bonus incentives for qualified lighting upgrades and custom capital energy-efficiency improvements.* These bonus incentives encourage customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas to enroll and complete projects for maximum energy savings in 2012.

The bonus incentives are available for eligible projects served by Existing Buildings, Existing Multifamily and Production Efficiency. Existing multifamily projects, including standard window and insulation improvements, may also qualify for bonus incentives.

Qualified projects will be eligible for Kick-Start bonus incentive if they are enrolled December 16, 2011, or later, and if equipment is ordered within 90 days. The Kick-Start Bonus will sunset on June 29, 2012 Talk to Energy Trust or a trade ally to make sure projects meet program requirements.

Kick-Start bonus incentives for lighting upgrades

Upgrades to commercial and industrial lighting systems are often the first step for businesses seeking to reduce energy use and manage energy as a variable cost. For these projects, customers may receive up to a 20 percent bonus incentive for lighting installations.

Your lighting trade ally contractor can calculate your estimated incentive as part of their bid. Pre-approval is required for all lighting projects and post-installation inspections may be conducted.

Kick-Start bonus incentives for custom capital improvements

Custom capital energy-efficiency projects that save electricity or natural gas, could include:

  • Heating, ventilating and air conditioning
  • Compressed air systems
  • Boiler retrofits
  • Chillers
  • Controls installations

These projects, and other upgrades, may qualify for a bonus incentive of up to 20 percent. The total incentive, including the bonus, will be calculated in the incentive offer provided prior to installation. Pre-approval is required for all custom capital upgrade projects and post-installation inspections may be conducted.
