Get started with Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® today

Follow these steps to get started with Home Performance. Energy Trust recommends you select one Home Performance contractor to perform your assessment and complete the suggested improvements.

Step 1: Contact a Home Performance contractor to schedule your assessment.

For a list of local Home Performance contractors who can perform the initial comprehensive home assessment, click here or call 1.866.368.7878. Contact several contractors to find the best fit for you and your budget.

Step 2: Make recommended energy-saving home improvements.

With your custom action plan to cut costs and energy use, you'll have the information you need to make the improvements. Contact your Home Performance contractor—who must have a valid Construction Contractors Board license and who is Building Performance Institute-certified—to discuss installation of recommended home improvements.

Step 3: Get cash back for home improvements.

Review available cash incentives. Mail or fax together the completed Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Form 320HPWES and a copy of your contractor's invoice marked “paid in full,” within 90 days of installation, to:

Mail:
Energy Trust of Oregon
Existing Homes
P.O. Box 40508
Portland, OR 97240

Fax: 1.866.516.7592

Please allow six to eight weeks for incentive processing and payment.

If you plan to install your own insulation, view self-installation requirements. You can also receive cash incentives when you purchase featured ENERGY STAR qualified products, such as clothes washers and refrigerators.

Required forms

Please mail or fax Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Form 320HPWES (along with your contractor's invoice marked "paid in full") to receive cash back for your home improvements.
