NW Natural Customers in Washington
Energy Trust Incentive: Gas furnace—$100
To qualify for this incentive:
- Gas furnace must have a minimum 90 percent or greater AFUE
- Gas furnace must be used as the home’s primary heat source
Note: Energy Trust no longer pays incentives for gas furnaces used as backup for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.

Oregon customers heating their homes with natural gas from NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas may qualify for state and federal tax credits.
NW Natural customers in Washington who heat their homes with natural gas can receive a $100 gas furnace incentive.
Oregon homes that heat with oil, propane, kerosene, butane or wood can conduct their own energy audit and apply for cash rebates for installed weatherization upgrades through the Oregon Department of Energy's SHOW (State Home Oil Weatherization) program.
Energy Trust does not pay incentives for energy-efficient improvements that are mandated for building code compliance, such as remodeling, renovation or new additions to the home.

NW Natural Customers in Washington
Follow these easy steps to get cash for installing a high-efficiency gas furnace in your home:
1: Establish your eligibility.
2: Select a contractor and have the work done.
To receive an Energy Trust cash incentive, contact a qualified, energy-efficiency trained Energy Trust trade ally contractor or any other licensed contractor with a current Washington contractor's license.
3: Submit your incentive application within 90 days of installation. Often, your contractor will help you complete the application form. Use our online application or mail or fax your signed and completed paper application form along with your contractor's invoice—marked “paid in full”—to:

NW Natural Customers in Washington
Use our online form to apply for your gas furnace cash incentive. You'll need to enter information such as the installation date, equipment serial/model number and efficiency rating, as well as a scan or legible digital photo of your contractor’s invoice, in order to complete your application, so please gather this information before beginning.
