Insulation Self-Install

Self install insulation cash incentives

Properly insulating your attic/ceiling and floors keeps you comfortable throughout the year, reduces outside noise, saves energy and reduces your heating and cooling costs. It's also one weatherization technique many homeowners can tackle themselves—provided you have the right insulation materials, protective clothing and how-to information. To maximize the performance of your insulation, and qualify for an incentive, it is recommended that you seal air leaks in areas where insulation will be installed. Air leaks can be sealed by the homeowner or a qualified contractor.

Insulation improves your comfort during winter and summer. While you need to use heating equipment and fuel to stay warm in winter, you can cool off in summer without major spending. Keep cool in hot weather with these tips to beat the heat.
