Gas Furnaces

Want to make your mobile home more comfortable and use less energy? Upgrade to a high-efficiency gas furnace and look for the blue ENERGY STAR® label. Your new furnace can deliver energy savings, reduced energy costs and a cozier home, especially when you follow these helpful tips:

  • Ask your contractor to help you determine what size gas furnace you need
  • Look for ENERGY STAR models, which meet strict energy-efficiency guidelines and provide energy savings and comfort

Energy Trust recommends high-efficiency gas furnaces that are 90 percent AFUE, or greater. You may qualify for state and federal tax credits. There is no longer an Energy Trust incentive for gas furnaces (as of May 1, 2010).

Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credit: Up to $350
Furnace must meet Oregon tax credit criteria. See Oregon Department of Energy or your tax accountant for complete details.

Federal energy tax credit: Up to $150. See rules and requirements.

Ask your contractor about rebates that can save you even more money.
