Floor Insulation

Is your home drafty in winter? Many older homes may be missing a simple but essential part of the energy-efficiency formula: insulation. Properly insulating your floors can help you stay comfortable throughout the year, save energy and reduce your heating and cooling costs.

Energy Trust offers cash for adding floor insulation to your mobile home. Read more below about applying for cash incentives and hiring a contractor.

Floor insulation: $0.30 per square foot

If existing insulation levels are R-11 or less, insulate to R-30 or fill the floor cavity.

Incentive offer is subject to availability of funding and may change.

Oregon customers heating their mobile homes with electricity or gas from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas can participate.

Energy-saving improvements can only be performed one time per home, regardless of new ownership. If you do not own your mobile home, your property owner or manager must approve the work.

Your mobile home must be prequalified before installation can begin. To prequalify your mobile home, call us at 1.866.368.7878.

We offer cash incentives to homeowners who install their own floor insulation. Energy Trust inspects all self-installed improvements before issuing an incentive payment. Floor insulation must be installed to the requirements of Energy Trust’s Weatherization Specifications Manual.
