Windows

Your home’s windows play a large part in regulating energy use and costs. Installing ENERGY STAR® qualified high-efficiency windows reduces condensation, decreases drafts and air leaks, and can increase curb appeal. New, tight-fitting windows also help seal your home against unwanted air intrusion or escape. (Be sure to air seal all gaps, cracks and interior window perimeters with caulk or low-expansion window foam prior to window trim installation.)

Energy Trust offers cash for installing qualified high-efficiency windows in your home. Read more below about applying for cash incentives and hiring a contractor.

Federal energy tax credit: Potential federal tax credit may be available. View availability and requirements. Ask your tax professional for complete details.

Oregon customers heating their mobile homes with electricity or gas from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas can participate.

Energy-saving improvements can only be performed one time per home, regardless of new ownership. If you do not own your mobile home, your property owner or manager must approve the work.

Your mobile home must be prequalified before installation can begin. To prequalify your mobile home, call us at 1.866.368.7878.

To receive an incentive, this energy-saving improvement must be performed by an Energy Trust trade ally or an Oregon Construction Contractors Board-licensed contractor.

  1. Your mobile home must be prequalified before installation can begin. To prequalify your mobile home, call us at 1.866.368.7878.
  2. Select a contractor to install your windows. To receive an Energy Trust cash incentive, contact a quality, energy-efficiency trained Energy Trust trade ally contractor or any contractor with a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) license.
  3. Submit your application forms. Mail or fax your signed and completed incentive application form along with your contractor's invoice(s)—marked “paid in full.” Documentation of U-Value and size for each window must also be submitted.

Proof of U-Value must be submitted as:
    • A packing slip or invoice from manufacturer
    • An NFRC sticker
Proof of window size must be submitted as:
    • A packing slip or invoice from the manufacturer, distributor, retailer or contractor
    • The Windows Addendum—submitted by your contractor—if a packing slip or invoice is unavailable

Please mail or fax Energy Trust Form 320TP (PDF | Doc), along with your contractor’s invoice(s) marked “paid in full” and proof of U-Value and dimensions.

The Windows Addendum is required if you cannot produce documentation of window size and must be completed by your contractor.
