Solar Pool Heating

In a solar pool heating system, pool water circulates through a large series of collectors, usually located on your roof, and absorbs the sun's energy. Most solar pool heating collectors are flat, black panels manufactured from high technology plastics designed to resist weather and ultraviolet radiation.
The initial investment for a solar pool heating system is typically between $4,000 and $7,000. A cash incentive from Energy Trust and a state tax credit can reduce that cost by 50 percent. As a result, systems typically pay for themselves in two to five years.
