A. At this time, there are no federal tax credits for the installation of a solar pool heating system. However, Oregon residents may qualify for a state tax credit. Q. I’m a NW Natural customer in Washington. Can I receive an Energy Trust cash incentive when I install a solar pool heating system?

A. Yes. Washington residents who own their single-family home can receive an Energy Trust incentive for the installation of a solar pool heating system. To qualify, work with an Energy Trust solar trade ally contractor. Visit the solar pool heating system page for more information on qualifications and available incentives. Tax credits are not available for Washington residents at this time.

Q. I own or manage a multifamily property (consisting of five or more units). Can I receive an Energy Trust incentive for installing a solar pool heating system?

A. Yes. Multifamily property owners can receive an Energy Trust incentive, in addition to a Business Energy Tax Credit from Oregon Department of Energy. Find more information on how to receive your incentive.

Q. I’m interested in making other solar improvements to my home or multifamily property. How can I find out more?

A. Energy Trust also offers cash-back incentives for other solar improvements made to single-family homes or multifamily properties. Homeowners can receive incentives—in addition to state and federal tax credits—for solar electric and solar water heating improvements.
