Incentives on qualified lighting

Energy Trust Products offers incentives on more than just clothes washers, refrigerators and freezers—we also offer savings on qualified lighting.

Through our Change a Light initiative, Energy Trust offers incentives to consumers and manufacturers on compact fluorescent light bulbs. Incentives are offered to CFL specialty manufacturers on bulbs such as globes, A-lamps, 3-way twisters, high-heat reflectors, dimmable reflectors and candelabras. These incentives increase production of CFLs and the availability of increased bulb variety in retail stores. In exchange, we offer marketing support, services and tools to help manufacturers reach out to customers and obtain their sales goals.

Change a Light offers consumer’s financial savings through buy downs and markdowns and incentives that reduce the end cost of CFLs to the customer, making energy savings more affordable.

We also offer the Change a Light, Change the World fundraiser. The fundraiser assists community organizations, schools, businesses, clubs and other groups to raise much-needed funds by selling ENERGY STAR^® CFLs.

Anyone can participate—the fundraiser is simple, and includes easy-to-use order forms, trained field staff that are available for interactive presentations and events, educational materials and a 50 percent profit margin.
