Marketing Support

Energy Trust offers trade ally builders marketing support and materials for their energy-efficient model homes. Opening a model or tour home gives potential homebuyers the opportunity to see the energy-efficient features first hand.

Builders can take advantage of tiered incentives for up to two model homes per calendar year that meet or exceed ENERGY STAR standards.

Tiered incentives are available through December 15, 2013. Incentives are subject to availability of funding and may change. To get started, complete the Marketing Support application (PDF | Doc) and Substitute W-9 Form. For questions, contact our trade ally coordinator at newhomes@energytrust.org or by calling 1.877.283.0698, option 1.

Up to an additional $1,000 is available through Northwest ENERGY STAR for certified ENERGY STAR homes.

Early Design Assistance

In new construction it pays to plan ahead. A $500 incentive is available to trade ally builders who meet early design assistance requirements. This incentive encourages builders to compile a team to evaluate projects in their early stages, focusing on how energy efficiency will be integrated. The makeup of the team could include the designer, customer, subcontractors, supplier and verifier, and must feature at least one New Homes program team member. It creates an opportunity for all participants to provide input and voice their concerns and enables builders to address potential problem areas early on. With careful early design planning, builders can save considerable money by reducing callbacks, field modifications and schedule changes, while subcontractors benefit by limiting difficult change orders.

For more information, contact Energy Trust’s trade ally coordinator at 1.877.283.0698, option 1 or download the application for the early design assistance incentive here.
