Energy-Efficient Appliance Choices
Energy Trust offers cash incentives and resources to help your customers with investments in energy-efficient appliances. Current incentives include:
- $100 cash back on clothes washers with a Modified Energy Factor of 2.46 or higher
- $100 cash back on qualifying ENERGY STAR® refrigerators that are at least 30 percent above federal standards
- $50 cash back on ENERGY STAR freezers
- $40 cash back for recycling an old fridge or freezer. Units must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet and in working condition.
Clothes washer incentives are available to Oregon residential customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas. Refrigerator and freezer incentives are available to Oregon residential customers of Portland General Electric and Pacific Power.
Energy-Efficient Lighting Choices
Energy-efficient light bulbs provide another great way for your customers to save energy and money. Each 60 watt incandescent bulb replaced with an energy-efficient light bulb such as a CFL or LED saves $30 in energy costs over the life of the bulb.
Energy Trust helps participating retailers to sell energy-efficient light bulbs at reduced prices by buying down a predetermined amount of bulbs at the manufacturer level and shipping them to participating retailers. These bulbs are marked with the reduced price as their regular price, so customers automatically get the reduced price and no coupon is needed.
