Residential trainings offer opportunities to learn about energy efficiency and best building practices for new and existing homes. Trainings range from certification courses, continuing education workshops, program orientations, seminars about new technologies and more. View details at the training and education calendar.
Online Training
Online training offers trade allies access to information that will improve their knowledge of Energy Trust requirements and best practices in the residential energy-efficiency industry. Visit the Online Training page to view available trainings and get credit.
Training Details
- Cost—Energy Trust subsidizes the cost of trainings to offer educational opportunities to trade allies for a nominal fee. Trade allies are eligible to receive training incentives to offset the cost of specific certification trainings. In addition, trade allies receive a discounted member price at program-sponsored trainings. Training fees are adjusted to cover certification, continuing education credits, manuals, materials and refreshments.
- Payment—Accepted only by credit card, online or via faxed registration form
- Continuing education units—Energy Trust offers trainings with continuing education credits from the Building Performance Institute. To request a specific continuing education credit, contact the training team at 1.866.365.3526 and press option 8 or HEStraining@csgrp.com.
- General information—Details about the training venue and agenda will be sent to you, along with your confirmation, approximately one week before the event. If you have any special needs (e.g. dietary, physical), please let us know at the time of registration so we can make your participation more enjoyable and meaningful. All requests will be kept confidential.
- Cancellations and refunds—A full refund for purchased training courses will be issued for class cancellations made by participant and provided to Conservation Services Group in writing at least 10 business days before the class begins. Payment for courses is non-refundable for cancellations made by participant less than 10 business days from the course start date and for no-shows (participants who do not attend class). Cancellations are subject to additional online processing transaction fees. Online registration will close 3-5 business days prior to event, at which time details about the training venue and agenda will be sent to participants, along with their confirmations.
- Photo rights—Energy Trust reserves the right to use photos taken during trainings for promotional purposes.
