Energy Trust launches Small Commercial Efficiency pilot
Energy Trust has launched its Small Commercial Efficiency pilot for owners who construct office, school or retail buildings 10,000 to 70,000 square feet in size. The pilot offers incentives for completing a package of prescriptive energy-saving solutions described in the Core Performance Guide—Oregon Edition, a guide to maximizing energy performance in small commercial buildings within Oregon. When applied, the package of prescriptive solutions results in energy savings of 10 to 30 percent beyond Oregon energy code. Completion of the package also helps fulfill the Earth Advantage® Commercial energy requirements for green building certification.
To be eligible for the pilot, projects must be in early schematic design, and owners must complete a collaborative project team meeting and follow the design process strategies outlined in the guide. For further information on the pilot or to discuss enrollment, contact , outreach manager, at 503.334.7994. The pilot is limited and projects will be qualified and enrolled at the discretion of Energy Trust.
New Buildings teams up with Evergreen Consulting
In 2010, New Buildings joins forces with Evergreen Consulting to better serve local lighting trade allies. We will work together to introduce the New Buildings lighting calculator and to provide you with the information and resources you need to complete your projects. We look forward to working with the lighting contractor community to help you and your customers install energy-efficient lighting in new construction and major renovation projects.
Upcoming trade ally webinars
Orientation webinars are held each month for prospective trade allies or individuals and firms interested in learning more about the New Buildings program. We require all new trade allies to attend a webinar, and the presentation covers essential information about our incentives, services and requirements. The next three webinars will be held from 12-1 p.m. on the following dates:
Friday, February 12, 2010
Friday, March 12, 2010
Friday, April 16, 2010
