Thank you for making Energy Trust's Products appliance promotions such a tremendous success in 2009—you have helped your customers reduce their energy use and save money.
Our current promotions will continue throughout 2010 with two changes: a new $25 incentive on qualifying dishwashers and a change to a single tier, $75 incentive on qualifying clothes washers. These ENERGY STAR® promotions encourage consumers to buy the most energy-efficient clothes washers, refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers available. Specific criteria for the promotions include:
Clothes washers
- Runs January 1 to December 31, 2010; all applications for incentives must be received by April 15, 2011
- Incentive amount is $75 for units with an MEF of 2.2 or greater
- An incentive is no longer available on clothes washers with an MEF of 2.19 or lower
Refrigerator and freezers
- Runs January 1 to December 31, 2010; all applications must be received by April 15, 2011
- Incentive amount is $50 for units with a minimum qualifying efficiency on refrigerators of 20 percent better than federal standards and on freezers of 10 percent better than federal standards
- An additional incentive of $30 is available through our recycling promotion for units that qualify
Dishwashers
- Runs January 1 to December 31, 2010; all applications for incentives must be received by April 15, 2011
- Incentive amount is $25 for units using 278 kilowatt hours/year or less
2010 point-of-purchase marketing materials include:
- Clings for clothes washers, refrigerators and freezers, and dishwashers
- Up-to-date qualified models lists
- Customer incentive forms
