HOME ENERGY SOLUTIONS

New Manufactured Homes

State tax credits available for qualifying improvements

Homes can lose up to 25 percent of their heat due to poorly-designed and improperly-sealed duct systems. Ensure your customers save energy and money by installing and sealing ducts that fit correctly within their home.

Efficient duct systems bring a wealth of savings to your homeowners, and to sweeten the deal, your customers may also be eligible for an Oregon Department of Energy tax credit of $250. These tax credits can help make the purchase of a new home even more affordable for your customers, as well as distinguishing your company from your competitors.

Oregon Department of Energy also offers tax credits on qualifying furnaces, heat pumps, central air systems, solar units, appliances and wind energy. To learn more about tax credits that will help your homeowners save energy and money, visit the Oregon Department of Energy website.

Meet David Marble, project assistant for Products and New Manufactured Homes

David has been with Energy Trust's Products and New Manufactured Homes programs since September 2008. A native Oregonian, David knows the importance of leading an environmentally conscious lifestyle. Growing up with this awareness has led David to where he is today; working in the sustainability industry and helping others realize the value of saving energy and the environment.

During the day, he's motivated by the thought that "we're quietly doing important work even though it's not necessarily flashy." David works behind the scenes processing incentives on clothes washers, refrigerators and new ENERGY STAR® manufactured homes so that customers are able to reduce their energy consumption through their purchases. He is also instrumental in outreach to retailers who are interested in marketing the ENERGY STAR logo through cooperative marketing and model home incentives.

When not helping save hundreds of kilowatt hours and therms of wasted energy, David can be found spending time with his friends, playing board games or out in the great Oregon outdoors playing Frisbee.
