    Energy Trust provides cash incentives to Oregon businesses for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. To qualify, you must:

    • Be served by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista and contribute to the public purpose charge. Check your utility bill or contact us if you have questions.
    • Have a project site in Oregon.
  2. Select equipment that qualifies for Energy Trust incentives.

    Your trade ally or vendor can help you get started. Be sure to check all of the “Qualifying Criteria” on the incentive application to ensure that your equipment qualifies for Energy Trust incentives.

  3. Purchase and install equipment

  4. Complete the appropriate incentive form for your cash incentive.

    You must return a complete and signed incentive form with your invoices for your equipment to Energy Trust within 180 days of purchase and before the end of the calendar year to receive your incentive.

Equipment Incentive Requirements
Low pressure steam trap (<15 psig) $500-$600 per steam trap depending on orifice size
  • Must replace existing steam trap
  • Steam trap must be installed at an industrial facility using a natural gas-fired steam boiler
  • Steam trap orifice size 0-1 inches, see Form 420ST for details
Med-pressure steam trap (15-200 psig) $500-$550 per steam trap depending on orifice size
  • Must replace existing steam trap
  • Steam trap must be installed at an industrial facility using a natural gas-fired steam boiler
  • Steam trap orifice size 0-1 inches, see Form 420ST for details
