ENERGY STAR® Clothes Washers

Doing the laundry is less of a chore when you're saving time, energy and money with a high-efficiency clothes washer. Just look for the blue ENERGY STAR® label and receive $50-$70 cash back from Energy Trust on qualified models.

Effective January 1, 2013, all ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers with a Modified Energy Factor, or MEF, of 2.4 to 2.59 are eligible for an Energy Trust cash incentive of $50 and models with an MEF of 2.6 or higher are eligible for a $70 cash incentive. While all ENERGY STAR qualified models are efficient and help lower your energy costs, premium-efficiency models like these can help you save even more.

Energy Trust Incentives

Get $50-$70 cash back when you purchase a qualifying ENERGY STAR clothes washer with an MEF of 2.4 or higher.

Incentive offer is subject to availability of funding and may change.

If you heat your water with electricity, you must be a customer of Portland General Electric or Pacific Power. If you heat your water with natural gas, you must be a customer of NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas.

Follow these easy steps to redeem your cash incentive on a qualifying ENERGY STAR clothes washer purchase:

1: Establish your eligibility.

2: Choose a qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer. View a list of qualifying models and tips on how to choose.

3: Find a participating retailer and make your purchase between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013.

4: Apply online for faster processing or submit a paper application (located under the "forms" tab). Applications must be received no later than March 31, 2014 to be eligible.
