James Good’s inefficient heating system led to heating bills of more than $400 a month during the winter at his bike shop in Prineville, Oregon. With help from a $750 incentive, Good installed an energy-efficient ductless heat pump in the shop. His monthly utility bills are now down to $75 a month and benefits from cooling in the hot summer months when temperatures often exceed 90 degrees.

In the small town of Molalla, Oregon, Corinne and Kurt Thomas founded High Score Arcade inspired by the idea of supporting and promoting community. They purchased a 100-year-old building with no insulation and realized they needed some changes before they could open to the public. The couple received $6,300 to install 2,700 square feet of high-performance insulation, which covered 100% of the project cost.
