Our Location

Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Sr. Program Manager, DEI would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

What We’re Looking For:

The Sr. Program Manager – DEI Services at Energy Trust of Oregon will manage the development, implementation, and management of initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and across its services. This role will involve strategic planning, community engagement, partnership building, and program evaluation to ensure equitable access to clean energy solutions for all Oregonians, particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), underserved, tribal, and rural communities.

This role reports to the Director of DEI Services

What You’ll Do:

Community Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Support collaborative and inclusive relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders to advance Energy Trust of Oregon DEI goals.
  • Advise staff in community engagement efforts to understand and address the unique needs of diverse populations, ensuring their active participation in program design and implementation.
  • Represent Energy Trust of Oregon at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote DEI initiatives and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Program Development and Management

  • Advise on program development, and manage DEI initiatives, that promote equitable access to clean energy solutions.
  • Support the implementation of culturally responsive communication and outreach strategies to engage diverse communities effectively.
  • Ensure Energy Trust’s efforts to increase participation among customer groups historically underserved by our programs are data-driven, utilizing metrics and feedback to continuously improve and adapt to community needs.

 Capacity Building and Training

  • Provide leadership and support in building the capacity of Energy Trust staff and partners to engage diverse communities respectfully and effectively.
  • Partner with the People Services Team to develop and deliver training programs on cultural awareness, DEI principles, and community engagement best practices.
  • Support workforce and business development initiatives that create opportunities for BIPOC, rural, tribal, and underserved community members in the energy sector.

Accountability and Metrics

  • Establish and maintain accountability mechanisms to track the progress of DEI initiatives and ensure transparency.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on DEI activities, outcomes, and lessons learned to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with third-party evaluators to assess the impact of DEI efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Management responsibilities may be a requirement of this role.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business administration, or related academic discipline, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience demonstrating DEI subject matter expertise and leadership.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation methods to inform program development and assess impact.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with BIPOC, underserved, tribal and rural communities in Oregon.
  • Knowledge of clean energy programs and the energy efficiency sector.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications in the pay equity assessment to determine equitable salary placement.

Starting Compensation: $90,500 – $115,700
