Energy Trust of Oregon will host a roundtable discussion and networking event focused on identifying opportunities for women to enter and grow in the solar industry.

Suzanne Leta Liou, Manager of Global Market Strategy at SunPower and Chair of Solar Energy Industries Association’s Women’s Empowerment Initiative will be leading the conversation.

“Diversity in the solar industry is important to innovation, growth and meeting our customers’ needs,” said Leta Liou, “Events like this allow the industry to increase opportunities and leadership roles for women, which is what will drive forward progress.”

The roundtable is planned in coordination with Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA) and with volunteer support from local networking group Oregon Women in Energy and Renewables (POWER).

Event registration is free but donations will be accepted at the event and go to benefit Girls Build, a nonprofit organization dedicated to putting tools in the hands of girls, and letting them explore the world of building.
