Corvallis Museum: Leading cultural institution and high-performance building in the Willamette Valley

Join us Sept. 2 for a free panel presentation and tour of the newly constructed Corvallis Museum, with the option to participate virtually.

Panelist will speak on how the new 19,000-square-foot museum allows the Benton County Historical Society to exhibit its diverse cultural and natural history collections, connect with a broader audience and bring new life to the surrounding neighborhood. In addition to the 5,000 square feet of exhibition galleries, the facility includes a museum store, offices, exhibition preparation spaces and an education room.

The museum has high-efficiency lighting and domestic hot water, an improved storefront window system and an efficient mechanical system with VRF and DOAS. The installation of these features resulted in one of the most efficient recently constructed museums in Oregon. The project received over $31,000 in cash incentives and has estimated annual energy savings of 58,000 kWh.
