Energy Trust of Oregon invites you to a webinar to learn about Alberta Alive, a new two-site development featuring sustainable and affordable housing in Portland’s King neighborhood. The webinar will feature members of the design and build team discussing how Alberta Alive works to prioritize healthy, comfortable living spaces and a sense of permanence for families and Veterans in this historically Black community.

To assist in creating safe, welcoming spaces, both buildings benefit from energy-efficient design choices. Most significantly, a central heat pump water heater system helps to reduce hot water costs–typically the largest energy load for multifamily properties. A high-performance envelope provides thermal comfort and ductless heat pumps provide efficient heating and cooling.

To reach energy targets for the buildings, the design team and key stakeholders met early in the process to review goals and begin exploring solutions. Learn how Energy Trust provided $53,000 in cash incentives for early design and technical assistance, energy-efficient and sustainability features and solar-ready design.
