Prioritizing Sustainable Design: Advantis Credit Union Headquarters Campus
Join us on May 16 to hear firsthand from the building owner and design team of the newly built Advantis Credit Union corporate campus in Oregon.
Sitting on 12 acres in Oregon City, this new 76,221 sq ft campus is comprised of three buildings that include administrative offices for the credit union, flexible event spaces, a call center and a dining hall. It was designed to meet the functional needs of an active workplace with features like transit connections to Clackamas Community College. Additionally, the building aims to enhance employee comfort, health and wellness and includes passive and active sustainable design strategies with a full solar PV array.
With an aggressive modeled energy use intensity (EUI) goal of 13, the building’s innovative energy efficiency features include:
- A high-performance envelope
- A high-efficiency HVAC system with chiller and condensing boilers and DOAS
- Condensing water heaters
- High-efficiency interior LED lighting and controls
- Mass timber structure and wood finishes
- Native landscaping, water conservation strategies and rain gardens
- Thoughtful daylighting and shading design to reduce lighting energy usage and heating and cooling loads
- Solar PV array
Through early engagement and an unwavering commitment to energy efficiency and renewable energy, the project successfully completed the Path to Net Zero offering, saving 57,800 kWh and 3,800 therms annually, and received over $95,000 in incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon.
