Grounded in Listening and Learning
In winter 2023-2024, board members reviewed six briefing papers, presented by Energy Trust subject matter experts, exploring topics the board expressed interest in learning more about prior to starting the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan process. These topics were identified because of their potential to influence, impact or otherwise affect Energy Trust’s ability to achieve its vision of clean, affordable energy for everyone. The following briefing papers educate and inform the board, and are not policy proposals or recommendations:
- Capacity as a Growing Issue for Northwestern Utilities
- Decarbonizing the Energy System to Address the Climate Crisis
- Developing a Workforce to Meet Growing Demand for Clean Energy and Decarbonization
- Evolving Approaches to Evaluating the Costs and Benefits of Energy Efficiency
- Customers Energy Trust Has Historically Underserved
- Western Utility Coordination Efforts
