Trade and Program Allies
Helping customers meet their energy goals hinges on a qualified and robust pool of contractors and green energy professionals. That’s why we built a network of trade and program allies that understands the work and is committed to high-quality energy efficiency and renewable energy installations.
Helping Customers from Project Planning to Completion
Trade ally contractors and other allied professionals, including architects, engineers, designers and builders, are part of our on-the-ground network that connects customers to incentives and services.
Trade allies complete a wide range of energy-saving and renewable power projects in homes and businesses—from home weatherization and high-performance new construction to efficient industrial processes and commercial solar electric installations. They are up-to-date on the latest Energy Trust standards and help customers complete incentive applications.

Today, our network of small contracting and professional businesses stands strong at more than 1,600. We provide resources, business development funds and training to help these businesses build their companies. By utilizing the skills and expertise already in the market, we are supporting the growth of local businesses.
The energy projects completed by trade ally contractors and allied professionals fuel Oregon’s green energy economy. Cultivating this wide and diverse network creates jobs and builds local capability at the community level throughout the state.
Many companies in our Trade Ally Network are small businesses—80% employ 20 workers or less. In total, these companies report they employ 14,500 people to work on Energy Trust projects.
