At Energy Trust, we value collaboration to find innovative solutions and achieve results. Our people are learners and doers, the perfect mix of professional and friendly, smart and respectful. When it comes to delivering on our mission, our dedicated team goes all in.
We are on a mission to build a sustainable energy future for all 2.4 million utility customers we serve in Oregon and Southwest Washington. It is our responsibility to ensure that all customers can directly benefit from our services, including people with low and moderate incomes, communities of color, smaller businesses and rural communities. Through this work, we help grow Oregon’s economy, keep energy costs as low as possible and improve our air quality along the way.
“At Energy Trust we believe that everyone brings value and every idea brings opportunity. In order to innovate and succeed, we ask questions and learn from our experiences and from listening to diverse perspectives. We strive to create a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, where people are supported and inspired. If you’re someone who cares about making a difference, we want to hear from you and we invite you to explore job opportunities with us.” – Mike Colgrove, executive director

Competitive benefits with attention to a work-life balance. At Energy Trust, we offer competitive benefits like medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plans and alternative work schedules with telecommuting options.
Energy Trust recognizes and values the role of flexible work location options in supporting healthy work-life-balance. Working outside of a designated Energy Trust Office, whether part- or full-time, occasionally, or permanently, is considered a viable, flexible option when consistent with the essential functions of an employee’s position. Most Energy Trust roles and positions allow for some degree of flexibility in when and where work gets done. If their role is identified as a Full Flexibility-Location Role, employees may work anywhere in Oregon or Washington, remotely and outside a designated Energy Trust office, part- or full-time, occasionally, or permanently.
Strong commitment to sustainability. Our LEED® gold certified office space in downtown Portland is near MAX lines, bus stops and bike pathways. We offer TriMet pass incentives and bike amenities to full-time employees. We also have a volunteer Energy, Environment, Engagement team (E3), a group of staff focused on internal sustainability and employee engagement efforts.
Energy Trust is committed to pay equity. Energy Trust is committed to fair employment practices and non-discrimination, including pay equity for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of protected class (race, sex, veteran status, disability, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation) in the payment of wages or screen applicants on the basis of their current or past compensation. We determine salary by completing a review of your application materials to evaluate your related education, experience and training.
We’re proud of the recognition we’ve earned for our commitment to innovation, delivering clean energy benefits to customers and creating an environment where our staff can grow. Check out our recent awards:
