Explore incentives

To be eligible for incentives, your project must:
  • Have a project site in Oregon served by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista and contribute to the public purpose charge and/or system benefit charge. Check your bill or contact Energy Trust if you have any questions.
  • Be a new construction, a major renovation or an addition to an existing structure.

Projects permitted under the 2021 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code whereby interior lighting is 5% more efficient than code or has a 5% lighting power density (LPD) reduction are eligible for cash incentives based on the total estimated energy savings.

Interested in a custom equipment incentive?

Unique projects deserve unique solutions. We help with custom calculations to demonstrate potential energy savings on some projects. If your energy savings exceed the applicable Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code and meet our program’s cost-effectiveness requirements, you may be eligible for cash incentives.

Custom incentives are based on the estimated annual energy savings of the installed equipment and are calculated as follows:

  • Electric incentives: $0.20 per kWh, up to 100% of incremental cost
  • Gas incentives: $0.85 per therm, up to 100% of incremental cost
