Energy modeling of Very High Efficiency Dedicated Outside Air Systems
Join our webinar on June 19 where building energy modeling expert Amy Montgomery will discuss the modeling approach of Very High Efficiency Dedicated Outside Air Systems (VHEDOAS) using EnergyPlus™ and lessons learned from eight pilot demonstration projects that took place throughout the state.
VHEDOAS improve the overall efficiency of the DOAS concept by pairing a high-performance heating and cooling system, such as a heat pump or variable refrigerant flow (VRF), with a very high-efficiency heat recovery ventilator (HRV) or energy recovery ventilator (ERV), and optimized system design. Analysis of eight pilot demonstration projects conducted in the Pacific Northwest showed an average of 41 percent whole building energy savings and 63 percent HVAC savings over code minimum replacement of the existing equipment.
During the Q&A section of the forum, webinar participants will be able to share their experiences and ‘work-arounds’ to model VRF and ventilation systems with other attendees.
Register today to secure your free spot for the June 19 webinar or hosted viewing event being held in Portland.
