Women Building Oregon: How tradeswomen are leading the way toward a more sustainable future in construction
Join us for a co-hosted webinar on March 8, International Women’s Day, with LatinoBuilt, National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) – Oregon, Oregon Solar + Storage Industries Association (OSSIA) and Oregon Tradeswomen as we hear from community leaders in the field of commercial construction.
This webinar will highlight Oregon tradeswomen’s wins, struggles and visions for an equitable and sustainable future in construction. Panelists will share how and why they entered the construction field, pursued their passions and created new opportunities in their communities and for generations to come. They’ll share opportunities that are available to a diverse and strong workforce, a demographic that is essential to building a resilient Oregon.
The panel discussion will also provide commercial designers, developers and contractors with ways to connect with and support organizations that advance women in construction. Panelists will discuss how engaged allies can improve conditions for underrepresented groups on construction job sites.
