Save up to $1,600 on an ENERGY STAR® certified gas furnace that provides clean, consistent heat and lower energy costs.

Energy Trust of Oregon offers increased incentives through Savings Within Reach. Income-qualified households in Oregon can receive a $1,600 cash incentive for a high-efficiency natural gas furnace that provides clean, consistent heat and low energy costs.

Income-qualified Washington homeowners may be eligible for a $1,200 cash incentive.
You may also qualify for easy financing with on-bill repayment.

  1. 1. Establish your eligibility

    This special offer is available Income-qualified households in Oregon and Washington. Homes must be heated by Cascade Natural Gas, Avista, or NW Natural. See if you qualify.

  2. Contact an Energy Trust of Oregon trade ally contractor trained to provide Savings Within Reach services.

    Your contractor will provide a bid for eligible upgrades.

Single family homes, manufactured homes, side-by-side, townhome and duplex, triplex, or fourplex properties

Gas Furnace Incentive Requirements
Gas Furnace - Oregon $1,600
  • 95% or greater AFUE. Must be home’s primary heat source.
  • Not eligible for gas furnaces used as backup for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.
  • A CO monitor is required on every floor with a bedroom.
  • Cannot be combined with other gas furnace incentives.
Gas Furnace - Washington $1,200
  • 95% or greater AFUE. Must be home’s primary heat source.
  • Not eligible for gas furnaces used as backup for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.
  • A CO monitor is required on every floor with a bedroom.
  • Cannot be combined with other gas furnace incentives.

*Incentives will be paid directly to your contractor, who will deduct the incentive amount from your invoice, reducing your out-of-pocket costs. You are responsible for paying the balance of the invoice.

How are new gas furnaces different from older models?

Today’s gas furnaces are 90-95% efficient, compared to end-of-life standard models that are 15 years old or older and only 56-70% efficient.

I am a renter; can I still participate in Energy Trust Incentives?
