Jennifer Stephens jumped at the chance to make her 1972 home more energy efficient through Clean Energy Works Portland. An Energy Trust Home Energy Review recommended adding insulation, replacing the baseboard heat with high-efficiency, ductless heat pumps and upgrading to a high-efficiency water heater.

Stephens did all three and now pays for the improvements on her monthly electric bill. Energy Trust incentives helped reduce the cost. “I fell back in love with my house,” she said. “It was so nice to come home and be comfortable. And it was amazing to watch my bills go down.”
