To meet increased demand at their restaurant in the heart of wine country, the owners of the Newbergundian Bistro added a second oven to their kitchen. Despite constant usage, the increased energy efficiency of the electric convection oven helped keep the Newbergundian’s energy bills consistent.

Having worked with Energy Trust of Oregon in the past, Noelle and Sean McKee were eager to learn this oven purchase was eligible for a cash incentive. The McKees received $500 from Energy Trust that reduced the upfront cost of the oven.

The McKees’ retailer, Pitman Restaurant Equipment, had the incentive application forms ready and waiting for them when they picked up the oven. Noelle McKee appreciated how simple it is to save on energy-efficient equipment and appliance upgrades with Energy Trust. “The paperwork was easy to fill out and easy to return,” she said. “And the follow-up and turnaround were quick and simple.”
