After seeing the significant energy impact from fixing freezer doors in their facility, Scenic Fruit wanted to do more–and possibly earn cash incentives while doing so. While evaluating their building, they saw potential savings and impact through upgrading their lighting.

With the help of incentives from Energy Trust, Scenic Fruit replaced 103 outdated fixtures with energy-efficient LEDs and high bay fixtures. The new lights, equipped with motion sensors, automatically shut off when not in use, greatly reducing energy consumption. This upgrade saves the company over 50,000 kWh annually, cutting utility costs by $3,101. The enhanced lighting not only boosts efficiency and increases utility savings, but also improves the work environment for employees.

Scenic Fruit has worked on a range of projects with trade allies, including installing software to automate refrigeration  to continue pursuing energy-efficient projects.
