Success Story
The Wyatt, Portland
Estimated annual savings: $24,500
The Wyatt replaced 1,114 halogen lamps in its hallways, elevators and lobby with energy-efficient LEDs, slashing maintenance costs and saving enough energy that the investment will pay for itself in just 8 months.
Due to longer-life expectancy of LED lamps, The Wyatt is trimming an estimated $24,500 from their annual energy costs by saving over 327,100 kilowatt hours each year. The new LED lamps help to free maintenance staff from constantly replacing light bulbs within the buildings 15 floors. Plus, Energy Trust of Oregon provided a cash incentive of $16,000 to help offset project costs.
Onsite maintenance personnel handled the installation themselves and were able to use the building’s existing fixtures, keeping installation costs in check.
