Shipbuilding, ship repair and complex fabrication specialist Vigor Industrial upgraded over 1,000 antiquated lighting fixtures throughout its 60-acre Swan Island shipyard to energy-efficient LEDs.

Driven by a desire to improve the lighting quality for its graveyard and swing shift employees, Vigor worked with Energy Trust to complete an engineering study which helped identify the most effective lighting solution to meet the company’s needs.

In addition to safer working conditions, Vigor is also seeing lower maintenance costs, a more productive work environment and reduced energy costs as a direct result of the lighting upgrade.
